What Are Hose Connectors?
Hoses are similar to pipes and tubes but are flexible. Hose connectors, on the other hand, connect your hose with either a primary water source, usually via a faucet or tap. Hose connectors also connect hoses with other pipes and tubes found in homes and commercial centres.
They can also be used to merge and physically attach different hoses. Hose connectors can even divide a tube, making the two “new hose” parts face opposite directions before connecting them again.
Hose connectors are an integral part of many plumbing projects. They offer an easy solution to connecting hoses to taps, pipes, tanks, nozzles and more — without the need for replacing anything.

Hose Connector Applications
Hose Connectors have two major applications, hydraulic and pneumatic applications.
Hydraulic applications cover the storage and transferring of liquids such as water – both potable as in kitchens and bathrooms and not-potable as in sanitation and sewer water. They can also be used for chemicals, ingredients, solvents and the like. The proper seal, such as O-rings, are required to prevent leaks and the hose connector should also be rust and corrosion-proof since it will be submerged in liquid.
Pneumatic applications, on the other hand, covers the transfer of gases such as natural gas for cooking and heating purposes, as well as other types of gases. Pneumatic hose connectors must have very tight seals because a gas leak is hazardous and potentially fatal. The connectors also need to be resistant to corrosion.
